Problem: Editorial has found that users on their mobile device tend to visit different sections of Foxnews.com than their counterparts do on desktop and tablet. The “more” tab on desktop and tablet, is actually the main navigation on mobile devices under the hamburger menu. How do we allow mobile users to quickly navigate to sections on their mobile device that they frequent more often if they were on their desktops or tablets?
Hypothesis: If we created a mobile specific navigation and directed users on their mobile device to this, we can get higher engagement from mobile users by directing them to sections that they would more frequent on their mobile device as opposed if they were on desktop.
Solution: Create a mobile specific dynamic navigation in the CMS that Editorial can set up that target’s users on mobile devices, which is a different and separate navigation than the on the “more” tab. This way Editorial can create a mobile specific navigation and can then also update it in real time without the need for Project, Product, Dev or QA.
